VOLUNTEERS WANTED TO HELP CLEAN UP HARRISON
Join your neighbors for a Community Cleanup Day in Harrison on Saturday, May 20, 2017 from 9am-12pm. Volunteers are needed to help tidy up the Cemetery, City Park, Campground, City Hall, Senior Center and Crane Museum. To sign up for a project visit JustServe.org and type Harrison, Idaho in the search bar, or call City Hall at 208-689-3212. Hot dog and salads lunch in the park will be available at noon for those who sign up!

Summer Music in the Park Starts Memorial Day Weekend
Fourth of July Fireworks on the waterfront ad dark. JamShack plays live music in the park from 4 to 8 pm.
Harrison turns 118! There will be a Weenie Roast in the City Park at 6 pm to celebrate the town's birth and to commemorate the day it burned to the ground, 18 years to day from it's incorporation.
We would like to invite everybody with an instrument to come participate in an informal old time jam session and sing along in the park. If you have any questions, send them to email@example.com.
Old Time Picnic. This three-day celebration is a reunion of families and friends of Harrison. Festivities start Friday with the coronation of the "Old Time Picnic" Royalty and a potluck dinner. Parade is Sunday at 10 am, followed by fun "old time" games in the park, such as sack races, baby crawling, nail driving, greased pole climbing, and an obstacle race. More information for the 2016 event will posted as it becomes available.
100 Year Fire - Robert Singletary Presentation
Robert Singletary from the Museum of North Idaho will lead a historical presentation at the Harrison Grange, downtown Harrison. 1:30 pm. Walking tour to follow.
Power Boat Regatta at Harrison Docks
"The Power Boat Regatta at Harrison is the biggest boating event and fund raiser of the summer on Coeur d'Alene Lake," says regatta spokesman Mike Shill. The regatta show-n-shine on the Harrison public docks includes some of the most beautiful and fastest boats in the Northwest. More importantly, this is a fundraiser for the American Lung Association. Dave Smith Motors is a major sponsor. "All proceeds go directly to the American Lung Association. All boats, cars and motorcycles welcome!" This is not a Chamber sponsored event. Haul Ass to Harrison Car Show-n-Shine with Special Flame Category this year to commemorate the big fire of 1917.
The annual car show takes place downtown. Registration is in the city park from 8 am - 11 am. Live music on the stage starts at 11 am. Awards at 2:30 pm. Contact Russ Wilbur at (208) 661-9989 for more information.
Oktoberfest in the city park, 1 - 7 pm (rain or shine). Features area micro-breweries and home brewers, vendors, food, and activities for the kids (face painting, bounce house, etc.). If you would like to be a vendor or to volunteer at the event, please contact Teri Riberich at (208) 582-2341.
