Visit Harrison

At the mouth of the Coeur d'Alene River, historic Harrison, Idaho sits on the eastern shore of Coeur d'Alene Lake. An active resort town in the warm summer season, Harrison bustles with bicyclists, boaters, campers and RVers, and motorcyclists all coming to take in the beauty of the lake and small-town offerings.

Stretching from I-90 to Hwy 3, Scenic Biway 97 meanders along the eastern shoreline of Coeur d'Alene Lake. Visitors and travelers enjoy frequent sightings of bald eagles, osprey, moose, elk and other indigenous flora and fawna along the way. Just before entering into Harrison from the north on Hwy 97, the road crosses over the scenic Coeur d'Alene River, where the Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes Springston Trailhead can be accessed for cycling, roller blading, walking and sight-seeing.

Continuing along the highway from there, brings you to the center of Harrison with it's city park which overlooks the beach, bike path, marina and lake. While you're in Harrison, find out the town history in the Crane House Museum. Enjoy ice cream, good eats, art, gift and souvenir shops, rent a bike or get a fishing license. For overnight stays or extended lodging, set up a tent or your RV, boat-camp at the marina, reserve a room at a local B&B, or rent a cabin. Then, cut a rug to live music at the local night club.
