History

Harrison has 20 historical buildings constructed after the devastating fire of 1917. Eight are on the National Historic Register. The tiny city was once a thriving transportation hub where steamboats and railroads converged to serve the mining industry in the Silver Valley. Pick up a walking tour map in the foyer of the historic brick Harrison Building across from the park or at the Crane House Historical Museum across the street.
