Boot Scootin' Boogie (Annual Dance, Dinner, Raffle & Auction) at the Historic Harrison Gym. Dance to the Kelly Hughes Band. Tickets are $35 per person, or $60 for two people. Tickets include dinner, dance, and two drink tickets (must be 21 or older). Proceeds support the 4th of July Fireworks Show, Summer Music in the Park, and flowers at the park.

2015 North Idaho Veterans Stand Down - A Day of Appreciation for All Veterans
Where: Kootenai County Fairgrounds
When: 8 AM - 2 PM
What: Provides services to homeless and disadvantaged veterans in the five northern counties.
Volunteers needed -- call Connie Clark at (208) 660-2030 or go online to register at http://kootenaiunitedway.org.

Pig in the Park, Craft & Trade Fair in the city park.
Fourth of July Fireworks on the waterfront. Fireworks will start at dark, around 9 or 9:30 PM. There will be music in the park during the day, and bands playing at various town businesses.
Old Time Picnic. This is a 3-day celebration, culminating on Sunday with a parade at 10 AM and fun "old time" contests like sack races, baby crawling, nail driving, greased pole climbing, and an obstacle race. Festivities start on Friday with the coronation of the "Old Time Picnic" Royalty and a potluck dinner. For more information and a full schedule of events, click here.
Performance Boat Regatta Show-n-Shine
16th Annual Classic Car and Boat Show-n-Shine.
Saturday is the big day this year for both boats and cars. Registration is from 8 am - 11 AM. Show hours from 8 AM - 4 PM. Awards at 2:30 PM. October Fest at The Grange. 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM. Soup, dessert, crafts, books, yard-sale items, etc. One bowl of soup & dessert is $5. One bowl of soup by itself is $3. Desserts purchased separately are as priced. The Grange is located next door to the Library (there is a small grassy area that separates the two buildings.
Oktoberfest in the City Park. 1 PM - 7 PM. Micro-breweries in attendance, vendors, food, plus activities for the kids (face painting, bounce house, etc.). If you would like to be a vendor, please contact Teri Riberich at (208) 582-2341.
Winterfest Celebration. Come help us light up our city park for the holiday season, 5:30 - 8:30 PM. Hayrides, caroling, hot cider and cocoa. Make this a fun family tradition!
Summer Concert Series
Concerts are held every Saturday, from June through August, 2 PM - 5 PM. Concerts are free and are held in the city park. A list of bands and the dates they will perform will be posted at a later date.
